If you come via Leeds city centre, follow signs "A61 Harrogate" through the city until you come to the Leeds Ring Road (A6120) roundabout. Then use the detailed map below.

If you approach Leeds from the south on the M1, and wish to avoid the City Centre, do the following:-
At M1 junction 43, keep in the left-hand lane in order to remain on the M1. This will get you onto the newly-opened M1 extension which goes around the south-eastern side of Leeds. (Note that road maps published before 1999 are now inaccurate). Leave the M1 at the new junction 46, then follow the A63 and A6120 to the roundabout with the A61. Then follow the detailed map below.

Local Hotels

Note to foreign visitors.  Hotels in the United Kingdom are expensive, especially by the standards of (for example) Spain or the United States. If you need to stay in a hotel in a commercial city such as Leeds over the weekend, you can usually negotiate a much lower price for the weekend than that in force for the high-demand weekdays.

On the A61, in the centre of the small village of Harewood, 6km north of the Leeds Ring Road (A6120) roundabout. The pleasant situation, opposite the Harewood House stately home, would make this hotel an ideal choice for American visitors. The hotel is on the busy A61 main road between Leeds and Harrogate. If booking in the Summer (when you are likely to want the sound-proofed windows open), you should specifically ask for a room at the back of the hotel away from the main road.

Next to the roundabout of the Leeds Ring Road (A6120) with the Leeds to York road (A64). The hotel is on the south-eastern side of this roundabout, and is accessible from the A6120. A good quality hotel that (providing you get the corporate rate price reduction) offers good value by British standards.

The hotel is on the south-eastern side of this roundabout, and is accessible from both the A660 and the A6120. A conveniently situated business/executive hotel.
